What we save
ClueHopper stores a guest or account ID, game progress, outbound website clicks, hint use, and completion times. You can provide an email for account recovery or a prize claim. Website owners also provide website control evidence, clue submissions, and payment references. Limited request counters help prevent abuse.
What becomes public
The board shows anonymous counts of people playing on each square. Email addresses, prize contact details, private orders, answers, and account tokens are not public. A paid winner may be identified by their game alias. Older results you chose to publish retain their existing visibility.
Player counts
While your game is visible, an occasional update contributes your current square to the board. Each account counts once, and its position disappears after two minutes without activity. You can turn off board visibility in Your account. Watching the homepage does not add you to these counts. Computer players and internal tests are excluded.
Watching now
A separate watching count estimates active browsers viewing the game board within the last 90 seconds. It includes players who are also viewing the board. A short-lived first-party cookie groups tabs in the same browser. Only a hashed random identifier and last activity time are stored for this count; inactive records are removed after 24 hours. It does not create a player account or add to the player leaderboard. Known crawlers, computer rabbits and marked internal tests are excluded.
Other websites
The current game opens public website pages in a new tab. ClueHopper records the outbound click and your submitted answer. It does not read unrelated pages, forms, keystrokes, or your browsing history. Previous games using a rabbit widget use scoped, short-lived visit tickets. Authentication stays on ClueHopper.
Cookies and service providers
Essential first-party cookies keep your guest or account session available. Browser preferences may save your avatar and computer-player animation choices. Supabase provides account and database services; Vercel hosts the app and provides aggregate Web Analytics. Public page analytics omit query strings and fragments; account, dashboard, owner and authentication pages are excluded from page tracking. Payment providers collect card and billing details directly. ClueHopper does not receive your full card number, and each purchase retains its original provider.
Your choices
Progress and purchase records support recovery, delivery, and customer support. Expired visit tickets and request counters are periodically removed. We do not automatically delete linked accounts or active progress. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Some payment records may need to be retained for accounting.
